Do you wear white after Labor Day?

Are you familiar with the saying "Don't wear white after Labor Day"? Well, according to society, Labor Day is the "end point" for summer fashion. But do you follow this rule? I'm trying to get in as many summer outfits before summer comes to an official end. Summer is my favorite season out of all the rest, and although it's sad that it's coming to an soon, I am very anxious for fall fashion to be in full swing! 

This is my #OOTD for a breezy August day, in Wisconsin. Now, back to "not wearing white after Labor Day", I try to follow that fashion rule, so i figured for this outfit of the day I would put together an outfit based on these white shorts.

 

These white shorts are comfy, stretchy, and very breathable. I also have high-waisted white shorts, which would of went perfect for this look. This jean jacket (which is seen in previous blog posts of mine) I'm getting so much use out of! I NEVER owned a jean jacket before a couple weeks ago and i'm so in love with it. I try to buy pieces of clothing where i can interchange it with another outfit piece. It can be worn from casual to dressed up. From t-shirts underneath this jacket to an adorable dress. Decide on how and what you can wear it with, play around with some of the clothes in your closet. Add a little more to your style! Anyways, this Forever 21 jean jacket is perfect for a breezy day.

 What i'm wearing under the jacket is silk material, loose fitting blouse. I have this blouse in two different colors, this soft pink and olive green. The bubbly necklace i'm wearing with this shirt looks like it's MADE for this outfit. The contrast with my shirt and necklace coordinate so well. Any neutral color would coordinate with this color shirt, and either simple or really bold bubbly necklace would look great! 

Now, lets talk about shoes. You can't really see my shoes in these photographs (My apologies) but i'm wearing leopard print flats. Of course I had to add some print to this solid and simple outfit. Other shoes that would look great with this look is sandals or any type of flat.

     Camouflage and Military Greens are in more than EVER 

Camouflage and Military Green are becoming my new faves that i'm obsessing over. I'm working on my new Fall 2016 wardrobe, and you'll later on being seeing a lot of olive greens and military greens. The store's I shop at I've been seeing so many military colored jackets, utility vests, and camouflage everything for apparel. Normally i'm against the whole wearing camouflage "casually" for everyday wear, but i'm getting suckered into the trend of the season. 

Anyway, as I just told you about getting suckered into the camouflage gang, here's a great find from Target of a camouflage pocket tee shirt.

This shirt is literally my new fav from my closet. I've worn this top with these ripped/distressed jeans, black jeans, black leggings, black shorts, - so many ways to change up this look with this shirt.

Here's my philosophy; I honestly think you can dress up almost any look or dress it down. This is casual, I know. But add some of your favorite jewelry, black pants, cute boots/booties or flats, and it will dress it up! 

The other day when i wore this top, i added my denim jean jacket with some black skinny jeans! TOO CUTE 

Now, let's move onto these jeans that I'M IN LOVE WITH.

These are more of Capri's than pants. But when i bought them i thought even thought it's summer-time i can carry these into fall and even winter (Sigh, winter) 

Anyway, these are perfect jeans with booties! You don't even need to roll them up, they fall right at the right spot for these booties.

Fall Fashion Is Upon Us!

Sadly, the season of summer is coming to an end, but on the up-side fall fashion is approaching. Now, I'm from Wisconsin and Fall Season is not only known for it's beauty of the leaves changing colors, the brisk weather, pumpkin patches & pumpkin spice EVERYTHING... but, fall fashion is BACK! 

I recently went on a vacation to North Carolina to visit family, and of course i had to make my way to the malls down there... once or twice. Here's some deals i snagged up from my shopping adventures: 

 I pulled this look together & I really think this can either have both a summer and a fall-look to it.

Summer look styling tips for this look: 

Gladiator shoes really do dress up this look to this basic tee shirt dress. Any type of sandal will pull this look together as well. Add some flats to make it more dressed up!

You cannot go wrong with a bubbly bold statement necklace! Here with this outfit to the left- I went with a very simple necklace. I actually was given this necklace by my boyfriend. It's simple and elegant where it pulls the look together yet.

It was a rainy and a chilly morning for this outfit- so i pulled out this jean jacket. To pull it together and add to it, pull up the sleeves- little simple tricks like that really                                                                           can add to your #OOTD!

Now- This hat.... really pulls this ENTIRE look together ( In my opinion). This is more of a fall type of hat i think, but a straw-like summer sun hat would be perfect with this outfit.


Fall look styling tips: 

I love this jean jacket because you can wear this spring through fall. You can interchange dresses, from different colors, prints, textures, and add that jean jacket to 'spruce' it up! This maroon dress is perfect for your fall look.

For shoes for this look- Booties, will complete this look. Short bootie wedges to knee-high boots!

This hat is perfect for fall. I snagged this hat because it was such a great deal, but honestly i think black or tan would of been perfect for this look.
