Effortless Fall Look

Hello Fashionista's and happy Wednesday! I hope you're all having a great week so far, its almost Friday so keep on pushing through! As for my fellow retail working fashionista's, as we don't get off many weekends in a month, keep pushing as well! Today I want to go over a super casual, cute, and very effortless fall look I put together. Now, I know it's difficult to wear your fall wardrobe with this on again off again cool weather in September but remember, you can always work with what you have. Some days you might be wearing tee shirt dresses, the next day you're in leggings, jean jacket, and a blanket scarf, here in Wisconsin you might be making a couple outfit changes throughout your day. The look I want to share with you guys is so effortless and can be "mocked" with whatever may be in your own closet.

Effortless Fall Look:

Who says effortless can't be cute? So let's get into detail about this look. This shirt is actually a T-Shirt dress... It's a bit on the short side, so I like to wear it as shirt. All i do is roll it up and tuck some of the material of the shirt into my pants to prevent it from falling down, then WALLAH... You have a simple and chic shirt. This shirt looks black and gray, but it's really a deep navy blue and gray. At first I was going to wear it as a dress with these same exact booties you see me wearing in this picture, but it was cooler in the morning so i decided to go with my favorite distress jeans that I swear I wear every-other day, (slightly obsessed, sorry not sorry)

As you can see I went with a minimal amount of accessories to this look. I am only wearing my Michael Kors watch, and for this effortless chic look... That's enough. OF course you could accessorize and add to this look. Solid colored scarf, necklace, bracelets, I would just recommend to not go to overboard, because remember this is a effortless look. Don't worry, you'll still be looking chic enough.

Let me talk about this floppy hat, that is one of my favorites! This hat really completes the look. It adds the right amount of Fall into this outfit. This hat is from Maurice's and I purchased it on sale for under $8! They are currently having deals right now on these hats, spot and snag them on the clearance rack before they're gone!

Now, how can you recreate this effortless fall fashion look? Simple, look at your closet. Grab any casual tee-shirt you may have; whether it's solid, striped, printed, etc. Grab your favorite pair of jeans and your favorite floppy hat that is going to coordinate best with the color of your shirt to recreate this look. Don't forget the booties, if you want a fall look!

Suggestions for recreating this look:

For a solid color t-shirt, black or white.

  • Cheetah scarf, any kind of leopard print
  • leopard print flats or ankle boots
  • Solid color boots, works too
  • Black skinny jeans
  • Black or brown floppy hat or fedora
Striped Shirts
  • Solid fall colored scarves; mustard yellow, brown, black, olive greens, purples, burgundy, and oranges. If you're feeling daring, add some print to that striped shirt!
  • Printed flats
  • Solid colored ankle, average, or knee high boots
  • Your favorite pair of jeans
  • Can't go wrong with a black solid colored hat

Layering, yes layering your outfits:

  • Jean jackets, jean vest
  • Vests
  • Light weight jackets

Tee's + Baseball Caps, Please

Good afternoon Fashionista's ( Late afternoon, as i should say) I hope you all pulled through and made the best out of your Monday! It was a gloomy and cool Monday here in Wisconsin. This post is actually a late post, (Outfit from Yesterday). But I really wanted to share this outfit, this look was inspired by one of my favorite bloggers, " Mrs. Casual".

Sunday I went to go shoot guns with my boyfriend, and of course i had to dress in style ;) SO, I put together this outfit which I was inspired by. It was cooler in the early morning, So the flannel was perfect for the Fall September day. Later in the afternoon, it hit low 70's and that's when the flannel went around the waist. (Very popular and effortless look)!

This effortless look  was perfect, casual, adorable, and comfy. Especially with this white crew neck t-shirt. It's on sale right now for ONLY $8.99, FREE SHIPPING! Here's the direct link to it: http://us.shein.com/White-Crew-Neck-Black-striped-Sleeve-Casual-T-shirt-p-269348-cat-1738.html

And you've seen these booties I have on in previous posts and you'll being seeing many more post ahead with these. I'm SO in love with them! They're the comfiest booties I own, and the perfect color for almost everything and anything. But seriously, these booties with these distress jeans? PERF. These jean's are from Aeropostale, and they're my favorite. They don't stretch out and they're such a great price. Hurry up and get them for under $25, because over 200 Aeropostale stores are closing! *Sigh*.

I hope you liked yesterday's effortless outfit! Remember effortless and casual can be cute too, try out this outfit and add some of your favorite pieces to make it your own. Make your #OOTD fab! Check back later this week on one of my favorite trends/looks this fall. Hope you all have a great rest of your week, keep pushing until Friday fashionista's and look #fab doing it!

Xoxo, Kels

Utility Vest - A MUST HAVE

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Saturday was a dreary rainy day, but then later turned into sunshine. And today, it's absolutely beautiful out, low 70's and blue skies! I wanted to share one of my current favorite pieces from my closet, that I've recently bought from Discovery Clothing (One of my favorite stores, unbelievable deals for current fashion trends). You might have seen this around quiet often, in the streets, on Pinterest, and of course on fashion blogs... Utility vests.

Utility vests come in so many different colors, mustard yellow, army green, brown, black, and much more. This army green utility is great for your fall wardrobe, because you're able to interchange this vest with so many different pieces.

Top Idea's for this Vest:

  • Striped Shirts
  • Solid color shirts for an Autumn look; mustard yellow, maroon, darker purples, pastel pinks, darker oranges, greens, any shade of grey, and of course black or white you can never go wrong with.
  • Flannels! Yes, flannels!
  • Denim button ups
  • Sweaters, including turtle necks
  • Dresses, try a tee shirt dress... My favorite thing to wear with this utility vest is my striped navy blue and white tee shirt dress! The contrast from the vest and stripes are perfect.
Bottom Idea's for this Vest:
  • Distressed Jeans, denim or black skinny's
  • Leggings, yes it's that time of year again where you can get away with just about any outfit with a  pair of your favorite leggings!
Shoe idea's for this Vest:
  • BOOTIES! Brown, black, tan, white, maroon, leopard print
  • Flats
  • Really, any type of boot or heel you have... Try something new :)

Now let's talk about this off the shoulder maroon long sleeve! I snapped this  up right away at TJ Maxx. The color, the style, is perfect. I don't own anything like this shirt, and its very trendy right now for fall, so it was a must have. This must have top is only $14.99. A stunning top that can be worn alone or with this utility vest, fur vest (which i also purchased with this... blogging coming soon on that outfit), or a puffer vest! I wore this top Saturday for date night, with distressed jeans and booties while still  looking dressed up. This off the shoulder shirt really can be worn alone and it won't have a plain look to it.

& last but not least.. These booties---- love.
If you don't own a pair of booties, I would suggest buying some because fall is all about booties. Perfect for the fall and winter seasons. These ankle boots that are shown in this look are just the right color that goes well with just about everything I own, so they're perfect for my own wardrobe.

Thank You for checking out my page, I hope you all have a good rest of your Sunday! Have a great week, and stay #Fab, but on a #budget

September Casual Outfit

Hi fashionistas! Who else is already ditching their summer wardrobe for fall? I'm normally all for summer, summer wardrobe, and the warm weather, but I'm so ready for the cool brisk weather and fall fashion. Cozy knits, cardigans, boots, blanket scarves, flannels, I am ready! So in honor of it being September and hopping onto the early fall fashion band-wagon, check out this look i pulled together on this lovely Friday afternoon;

I'm so in love with this new wine colored top, (A special thank you from Exalted Heights Boutique)! Check out their website, this top is still available and for only $18.00. Here is the direct link: http://www.exaltedheights.com/gleam-in-your-eye-top-wine/

Exalted Heights Boutique has amazing deals and great quality pieces, its the best of both worlds! I ordered this top and received it within two days ( super fast shipping, for you anxious impatient fashionistas who shop online)

Anyway, i wore this long sleeve top with my distressed jeans. Black skinny's or black leggings would look great with this top. I was going to try to wear a necklace with this look, but i knew the bedazzled side pocket was just enough to get away with no necklace. This is a super casual outfit, but it can also be worn dressed up too. Again, it's the best of both worlds for you fashionistas!

So, you've seen these booties in a couple of different posts of mine, I'm obsessed. You can wear them all year around, casual to dressed up, and with so many different bottoms. You can never go wrong with this color for ankle boots either. Before i bought these last year, you would of never seen me wear heels (simple because i'm 5'7'' tall as is without the heel) but it really makes my legs look longer and leaner ( Which i like) So, now i'm determined to buy another pair of these or something similar in a different color since I've mastered how to walk properly in these bad boys! So here's a little advice, try something new you never thought you'd wear, you may end up loving it and make your own style out of it.

Another thing I never thought I'd be comfortable with wearing, is a fedora hat. Now i own two of them, and I plan on wearing them a lot with my fall outfits! This brown fedora hat will look great with casual outfits to a more dressed up look. Style tip; Get three fedora hats ( Grey, Black, and Brown). It can really top of your #OOTD for a fall day. I bought this hat from Maurice's from their big " Going, Going, Gone" final clearance sale for summer ($6) Who can even pass that price up?

The jean's i'm wearing, you'll see me wearing a lot. Perfect distressed boot leg jeans are comfy and easy to move around in. These are still available and on sale at Aero! Perfect cut for rolling up the bottom of my pants for my ankle boots!

Thank you for checking out this post, I hope you enjoyed it. Have a good rest of your day, ladies! Stay tuned for more fall fashion blogs ahead! Also, is it too soon to buy myself a pumpkin spice cappuccino?

Happy September ya'all!

XOXO;
